Guidoso AI Use Policy

Draft placeholder. Version 2026-07-04-draft. This is not final and will be replaced with a legal-reviewed policy before launch.

1. Where we use AI

Guidoso uses AI to help hosts build better guides, faster. Specifically:

  • Suggesting nearby places to recommend, and drafting a short note for a recommendation.
  • Helping write or rewrite section copy in the guide builder.
  • Extracting structure from a PDF you import to start a guide.

AI assists the host. It does not run the guest-facing guide on its own.

2. Human in the loop

Everything AI produces is a draft you review and edit before it is published. You decide what goes into your guide, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish.

3. What data is sent to AI providers

To generate the above, we send the relevant inputs to our AI provider (Anthropic). That can include the text you are writing, the place or property details involved, and the contents of a PDF you choose to import. We do not send more than is needed for the feature you invoked.

Guest data is not sent to AI. Anonymous guide-engagement signals and guest feedback are never used as AI inputs.

4. Training

Our AI provider does not use the inputs we send through its API to train its models.

5. Accuracy

AI can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete · for example a place's hours or whether it is still open. Treat AI output as a starting point, verify anything that matters, and edit before publishing. Guidoso does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated suggestions.

6. AI subprocessors

Our current AI provider is Anthropic. Any change to our AI subprocessors will be reflected in our subprocessor list on the Trust page.

7. Your controls

AI features are optional. You can build a guide entirely by hand. Usage of the generative features is subject to fair-use limits.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as our AI features evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new version.
